Kiondo Kenya

Kiondo Kenya is a brand owned by two sisters, Olga and Fiona. We are focused on sustainable fashion that supports women weaving cooperatives in Kenya by providing them with the opportunity to sell their hand-woven products through local and international markets. Kiondo Kenya hopes to maintain African traditions, cultural symbols and crafts as they have a zero carbon footprint. We prioritize the mission of providing livelihoods and opportunities for personal development to Kenyan rural women. We currently collaborate with 50 to 60 female artisans to create, market, and sell Kiondo African baskets, African sandals, Maasai shukas, colourful kikoys and decorative items. Our primary focus has been on luxurious, high-quality hand-woven African baskets, which we sell under our label as well as a private label producer for local and international brands. We are investing in new product development. All profits are reinvested to expand the company's social impact, including innovations that can increase sales and support more livelihoods.
